(Psammobates geometricus) (Pair)

### Geometric Tortoise (*Psammobates geometricus*)

The Geometric Tortoise is a small and exceptionally rare tortoise native to South Africa.

It is best known for its beautiful shell, which features a distinctive geometric pattern of yellow, brown, and dark markings. The intricate pattern gives this species a truly unique appearance and is the reason behind its common name.

Unlike many larger tortoise species, the Geometric Tortoise remains relatively small as an adult. Its compact size, beautiful pattern, and unusual appearance make it highly sought after by tortoise enthusiasts and keepers of unique reptiles.

In the wild, this species is found only in a very limited area of South Africa and is considered one of the country’s most rare tortoises. It is therefore rarely encountered in the international pet trade.

**Scientific Name:** *Psammobates geometricus*

Namaqualand Tent Tortoise / Western Tent Tortoise (Psammobates tentorius trimeni) (1 Live Tortoise)
