**Decorated Running Frog (*Kassina decorata*)** The Decorated Running Frog is a distinctive African frog belonging to the family Hyperoliidae. It is a member of the genus *Kassina*, commonly known as the Running Frogs, a group well known for their unusual walking and running locomotion rather than the typical hopping movement of many frogs. *Kassina decorata* is associated with Cameroon and is particularly notable for its distinctive coloration and markings. The species is adapted to terrestrial habitats in humid highland environments, where it can be found around grassland, wetlands, and other moist areas. Unlike many arboreal African frogs, *Kassina decorata* is primarily terrestrial. Its unusual body pattern, terrestrial lifestyle, and characteristic running behavior make it an especially interesting species for specialist amphibian keepers and collectors. The species has historically been confused with *Kassina maculosa*, and identification can be challenging due to similarities between the two species. Current taxonomic references recognize *Kassina decorata* as a distinct species. **Scientific Name:** *Kassina decorata* **Common Name:** Decorated Running Frog **Family:** Hyperoliidae **Order:** Anura **Distribution:** Cameroon **Habitat:** Humid highland grasslands, wetlands, and moist terrestrial environments **Lifestyle:** Primarily terrestrial **Notable Features:** Distinctive markings and unusual walking/running locomotion
