**Stigmatomma sp.** is a fascinating predatory ant belonging to the subfamily Amblyoponinae. Members of this genus are commonly known as Dracula ants and are famous for their unusual feeding behavior. Adult workers are specialized predators and hunt small arthropods in the leaf litter and soil. One of the most remarkable characteristics of Stigmatomma is its unique relationship with its larvae. Adults are unable to process solid food normally and obtain nutrients by making small wounds in their own larvae and feeding on the hemolymph. The larvae survive this process and continue developing. Stigmatomma species are generally secretive, slow-moving ants that spend much of their time beneath leaf litter, soil, or decaying wood. Colonies are typically much smaller than those of common mass-colonizing ants, making them particularly interesting for keepers who enjoy observing unusual natural behaviors. Thai Stigmatomma species vary in size and morphology, and several species are currently recognized from Thailand. The exact species identification of this colony should therefore be confirmed before assigning a species-level name. **Genus:** Stigmatomma **Common Name:** Dracula Ant **Subfamily:** Amblyoponinae **Distribution:** Asia, including Thailand **Lifestyle:** Predatory **Diet:** Small arthropods **Hibernation:** Generally none for tropical species **Behavior:** Secretive, primarily ground-dwelling
