ペア詳細

**Foulassi Dwarf Gecko (*Lygodactylus dysmicus*)** The Foulassi Dwarf Gecko (*Lygodactylus dysmicus*) is a tiny and highly specialized arboreal gecko endemic to southern Cameroon. It is one of the lesser-known members of the African dwarf gecko genus *Lygodactylus* and is particularly interesting because of its restricted geographic distribution. **Distribution:** Southern Cameroon. The species is known primarily from Foulassi in the South Region, with an additional unconfirmed photographic record from Nglochifen in the West Region. **Habitat:** Dense semi-deciduous rainforest and forest habitats along the northern margin of the Congo Basin. It is primarily arboreal and spends its time on trees and vegetation. **Size:** Extremely small, with a maximum recorded snout-to-vent length of approximately 27.6 mm. **Diet:** Primarily insectivorous, feeding on very small insects and other appropriately sized invertebrates. **Behavior:** Diurnal, active, and strongly arboreal. Its small size and climbing ability make it an interesting species for keepers specializing in miniature African geckos. **Appearance:** A small-bodied gecko with specialized adhesive toe structures typical of the genus *Lygodactylus*. Detailed coloration can vary and locality information is particularly important for identification. **Origin:** Wild-Caught (WC), Cameroon. **Difficulty:** Intermediate to Advanced. A vertically oriented enclosure with abundant fine branches, foliage, climbing surfaces, UVB lighting, excellent ventilation, and very small live feeders is recommended. **Taxonomic Note:** *Lygodactylus dysmicus* was historically treated as a subspecies or synonym within the *Lygodactylus gutturalis* complex. It was revalidated as a full species following a major 2023 taxonomic revision. Genetic data for this species remain limited, making accurate locality information particularly valuable. **Conservation Value:** Due to its highly restricted known distribution and limited representation in captivity, verified locality information is especially important for specimens offered in the captive animal trade.
